Fitzgeralds Park

Fitzgerald Park, located on the banks of the River Lee in the Mardyke area, is Cork City’s premier public park. Opened in 1901 for the Cork International Exhibition, it retains much of its charming Victorian-era layout and features a beautifully maintained landscape, a prominent fountain, and a historic bandstand.

The park serves as a vital green lung for the city, popular for leisurely strolls, family picnics, and river views. It also links directly to the Cork Public Museum and features a contemporary children’s playground.
